The Top Ten things to do near London Bridge

The Top Ten things to do near London Bridge

Tower Bridge, London

Iconic architecture, historic treasures, modern design and a vibrant food scene – there’s an array of fabulous things to do near London Bridge. Delve into the best, the quirky and the unmissable with my guide to discovering what to see and do in this cool area of London. That’s Tower Bridge in the shot above by the way. It very close to London Bridge but is much more photogenic. Tower Bridge is the one that the Americans thought they were buying but they ended up with the very plain and boring London Bridge…

What to do in Graz, Austria – culture, quirk & design

What to do in Graz, Austria – culture, quirk & design

Planning a city break to Graz? I’ve got you covered. This guide will show you what to do in Graz with recommendations on where to stay, what to eat and tips on how to have the best time in Austria’s second largest city.

Hauptplatz, main square in Graz

The first thing that comes to mind when I think of Graz is the juxtaposition of old and new, traditional and modern, elegance and quirk. The pastel coloured stucco facades and cobbles of the old town contrast with edgy, futuristic design and modern architecture. In 2003 Graz was named European Capital of Culture and in 2011 was awarded UNESCO City of Design status. The two awards complement both each other and the city of Graz perfectly.

Denver Itinerary – 2 days in the Mile High City

From craft beer, culture and cuisine to cool neighbourhoods, shopping and vibrant street art it’s no wonder Denver is voted one of the best cities to live in year on year. Let’s dive into my 2-day Denver itinerary for a perfect weekend in the Mile High City.

Love Denver Mural

Denver, the capital of Colorado, is generally the arrival point for visitors exploring the Rocky Mountain National Park or heading off on a ski trip. But before travellers heed the call of the mountains they’d be well advised to take a detour and add a two-day Denver itinerary to their trip. That’s exactly what I did on our incredible 10 day Colorado road trip. In Denver I discovered a laid-back city packed with urban adventure, an outdoorsy vibe and the stunning backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.

A Literary Weekend Break in Paris

A Literary Weekend Break in Paris

Paris Bouquinistes

The City of Light is one of my favourite destinations for a European weekend break. Paris is heaving with iconic sights and attractions but it’s also loaded with literary landmarks of epic Parisian proportion. Over the centuries writers have sought inspiration from the city, used it as their muse and as a backdrop for many brilliant novels, books and plays.

On your weekend break in Paris instead of rushing around to visit the city’s big sights why not focus on its literary legacy. Having always been a bit of a bookworm I was in my element! If you love getting lost in a book, or a city for that matter, come with me on a literary tour of Paris.
