Hi Suzanne... My spouse and I are interested in traveling to Vietnam, Thailand, and possibly Cambodia. We plan to spend a month in January - February 2025. We have traveled internationally annually and, for the most part, planned the entire itineraries ourselves. We have used a travel agent to help book inter-island boat trips in Greece and tours in Australia. Several acquaintances have advised that we travel to Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia with a tour company or book the trip with a travel agency. Can you weigh in on that decision? If you think we can travel on our own (which we prefer), can you recommend a travel agent?

We've always booked independently and planned our own trips to Vietnam so it's definitely do-able. As such I can't recommend a travel agent as we've never used one for Vietnam. I hope you have a wonderful trip
