Tesalate towel review. The smartest towels on the beach – sand free, super-absorbent, quick-drying and easy on the eye. Because life’s too short for boring beach towels…
I was recently asked to review one of Tesalate’s sand-free beach towels. Ironic really because we’re only allowed out for daily permitted walks close to home right now. The beach is a total no go. Tricky huh. The designs are gorgeous and the clever features are impressive so here’s what I thought of the Tesalate beach towel.
Osprey Farpoint 40 review – find out why this is my favourite backpack for travelling, weekends away and city breaks. My new forever rucksack.
I have a thing about luggage. From carry-on to hold luggage from backpacks and wheeled duffels to hard-shell suitcases and day packs. In my cupboard I have packs within, wheelie bags within duffels within suitcases – the luggage version of Russian dolls. I’ve tried them all. But now that I’ve found the perfect backpack in the Osprey Farpoint I’ll be getting rid of a pile of old rucksacks and sticking to this one.
There are so many good reasons for travelling with just carry-on luggage. No worries about your luggage not turning up with you at your destination. I’ve got a classic trench but I wanted something a bit more casual, with a hood, for when I’m outside exploring the UK and a downpour hits. Trespass came to the rescue. They’ve got a full range of light waterproof jackets which are perfect for those spring/summer rainy days. They sent me over the Rainy Day women’s waterproof jacket, the perfect summer raincoat, to try. Here’s what I thought…
How to avoid mosquito bites on my travels has always been an issue but never more so than on our trip to the Amazon Jungle. We’d booked our flights to Peru and our stay at Treehouse Lodge, deep in the jungle, was confirmed. It was time to get very excited. I love adventure and staying in a treehouse in the Peruvian Jungle ticked a box right up there on my travel wish list.
Then the realisation kicked in that we’d be staying in a high-risk malaria zone and mozzies see me as one big moveable feast. Did I get ravaged by mosquitos? No. Here’s what I did to avoid mosquito bites in the Amazon Jungle.
