Airportag travel themed gifts
One of the first things I had to do when I started working in the travel industry was to learn my airport codes. You know, those three-letter IATA identifiers, LHR for London Heathrow, SFO for San Francisco – you get the idea. There’s hundreds of them ranging from Aberdeen to Zurich.
There are some really cool codes around. HIP belongs to Headingly Airport in Australia and BOO is Norway’s Bodo Airport code. There are also some dodgy ones. An internal flight option from Fresno Yosemite Airport to Butler Airport in Missouri would see FAT – BUM on your boarding pass. DIK – HED would mean a journey from Dickinson Theodore Roosevelt Airport to Herendeen Bay in Alaska. Anyhow, I digress.
Travel themed homeware
So where’s this going you might be thinking. Well, I’ve actually discovered some really cool airport code designed products from Airportag. I love the quirky travel themed gifts and homeware and thought you might too - either for yourself or as a gift for the travel lover in your life.
Airportag customised gifts
Airportag is an online shop started by ‘Captain Greg’, a designer with a love of flying, and he’s got some really cool ideas. There’s a whole heap of travel-themed products; throw pillows, coffee mugs, t-shirts, tote bags and luggage tags all emblazoned with stylish airport code designs or cool travel quotes in fab fonts and colour ways. There are even designs for imaginary airports; Kings Landing or Gotham City airport. Now you need look no further for fab gifts for travel lovers.
There's a range of customised products with your own choice of airport codes. Did you travel to New York from London on your honeymoon? Why not opt for a LHR to JFK cushion to remember your first flight as Mr and Mrs, or Mrs and Mrs or Mr and Mr or whatever. There are some cool travel quotes available too.
After poring over the Airportag website for hours (don't go there unless you've got at least an hour to spare) and changing my mind over and over, I finally chose a pouch bag. I couldn’t decide which airport code to choose so I simply went for a design with all of them.
The pouch bag is printed on both sides and made from a durable poly poplin fabric with a good quality zip. It’s really well made and the print quality is excellent. I love it and now I've seen the quality of the products for myself I'll definitely be buying more! It's perfect for keeping all my tech gear in when I travel like chargers, cables and mini tripods. You could use it for your passport and travel documents or for all your inflight bits and pieces.
Shipping
Airportag offer worldwide delivery from the USA. If you're not US based you may want to factor in extra time for your delivery to arrive.

I’ll let you into a little secret. Not many people know this, but the airport code LTN has a special place in my heart. Yep, Luton Airport is where I met Mr Jones. Little did I know at the time that I’d eventually become Mrs Jones! So I guess the Luton Airport code LTN will be on the next Airportag product I buy.

My favorite airport is JFK because it's huge and it was my first trip to New York.
I love Orlando International Airport because it means I'm nearly at Disney 🙂
Gatwick - it's local to us & the shopping is fab!
Ancona airport in Le Marche, Italy, it's super small and empty so it's really quick to get through. I also get super excited with I arrive as I know I'm about to stuff my face with pizza >.<
Georgee xx
Honolulu airport is the best because the tropical smells hit you straight away and you never forget that, lucky for me I got to grow up on the islands from the age of 9 to mid 20's, but never forgot the smells as soon as you start walking through
I love Manchester T2 Frankie and Bennys and Pandora shops fab 🙂
I love duty free
Birmingham, it's closest to me and I always get excited when I get there as it means holidays x
I like airports and always spend more time than I need to there, mainly because I love to watch emotional reunions and departures and wonder what stories those people have to tell. My favourite airport is London Heathrow because arriving in it a number of years ago marked the beginning of a new life for me.
Yes, I see what you mean about the Airportag site. Lovely! My favourite item is the FRA Throw Pillow for $24.90 - the colours are muted and attractive.
Gatwick - I used to live near and go their as a child to watch the aircraft with my dad. Happy memories
Hmmm, my favourite airport is a tough one! Plenty I dislike 😉 I think either Heathrow, because it's been the start of so many amazing adventures and is my 'local' airport, or Ljubljana, which I visited most recently and which had the most amazing approach through snowcapped mountains and thick woods.
I love Nice Airport, as I love to land pretty much on the sea. Taking off over it is pretty awesome too!
Thanks for a brilliant giveaway xx
Has to be Liverpool... found it easy to use
........apart from language difficulties; 'yer no worreye mean?' ?
McCarran International Airport LAS because that means I am in Vegas........
Such lovely gift ideas Suzanne! My favourite has to be JFK because I absolutely love NYC! It was my first trip with my first pay pack after uni and the first place I went to with my now husband - we're actually returning in December, which will be my first winter trip there! Ps, I think it's actually quite romantic that you met your hubby at the airport ☺
New York was my first trip outside Europe - lovely that you and your hubby are going back as a married couple.
