Airportag travel themed gifts
One of the first things I had to do when I started working in the travel industry was to learn my airport codes. You know, those three-letter IATA identifiers, LHR for London Heathrow, SFO for San Francisco – you get the idea. There’s hundreds of them ranging from Aberdeen to Zurich.
There are some really cool codes around. HIP belongs to Headingly Airport in Australia and BOO is Norway’s Bodo Airport code. There are also some dodgy ones. An internal flight option from Fresno Yosemite Airport to Butler Airport in Missouri would see FAT – BUM on your boarding pass. DIK – HED would mean a journey from Dickinson Theodore Roosevelt Airport to Herendeen Bay in Alaska. Anyhow, I digress.
Travel themed homeware
So where’s this going you might be thinking. Well, I’ve actually discovered some really cool airport code designed products from Airportag. I love the quirky travel themed gifts and homeware and thought you might too - either for yourself or as a gift for the travel lover in your life.
Airportag customised gifts
Airportag is an online shop started by ‘Captain Greg’, a designer with a love of flying, and he’s got some really cool ideas. There’s a whole heap of travel-themed products; throw pillows, coffee mugs, t-shirts, tote bags and luggage tags all emblazoned with stylish airport code designs or cool travel quotes in fab fonts and colour ways. There are even designs for imaginary airports; Kings Landing or Gotham City airport. Now you need look no further for fab gifts for travel lovers.
There's a range of customised products with your own choice of airport codes. Did you travel to New York from London on your honeymoon? Why not opt for a LHR to JFK cushion to remember your first flight as Mr and Mrs, or Mrs and Mrs or Mr and Mr or whatever. There are some cool travel quotes available too.
After poring over the Airportag website for hours (don't go there unless you've got at least an hour to spare) and changing my mind over and over, I finally chose a pouch bag. I couldn’t decide which airport code to choose so I simply went for a design with all of them.
The pouch bag is printed on both sides and made from a durable poly poplin fabric with a good quality zip. It’s really well made and the print quality is excellent. I love it and now I've seen the quality of the products for myself I'll definitely be buying more! It's perfect for keeping all my tech gear in when I travel like chargers, cables and mini tripods. You could use it for your passport and travel documents or for all your inflight bits and pieces.
Shipping
Airportag offer worldwide delivery from the USA. If you're not US based you may want to factor in extra time for your delivery to arrive.

I’ll let you into a little secret. Not many people know this, but the airport code LTN has a special place in my heart. Yep, Luton Airport is where I met Mr Jones. Little did I know at the time that I’d eventually become Mrs Jones! So I guess the Luton Airport code LTN will be on the next Airportag product I buy.

LHR - London Heathrow because some of the happiest and most poignant moments of my live have happened there.
Mine is Bristol, simply because it's the only airport I've ever been to!
manchester airport. it big but not too big that i cant find my way around
It's got to be Birmingham, nearest I always get excited when I go, as I know I will soon be on a beach somewhere hot and sunny
My favourite airport is Newquay because it's my local airport and saves me having to travel miles to even get to an airport.
I love the "take me anywhere" pillow! My favorite airtport is Seattle because it has an aqua massager! So nice
favorite airport is JFK! It’s huge
I prefer the Sarasota Bradenton airport because it is close to home, clean and not that busy!
IAH - because we spent a lot of time there and its a great city with lots of memories
Paris. They have wonderful food, shopping, and comfy lounge chairs when your plane is delayed. And it is Paris. 😉
Paris is always a good idea 😉
My favorite airport is JFK! It's huge and just always reminds me of my first trip to NYC!
I love NY - one of my favourite cities...
I haven't been to many, but next month I will be landing in JFK and I can't wait
New York in November is fab - go check out the High Line for a different perspective of the city.
I also used to work in the travel industry and have those airport codes embedded in my brain! My favourite, though, would have to be CDG - knowing I'm heading to Paris is always a good feeling, even if Charles de Gaulle Airport isn't the best in the world.
The Airportag products are awesome. I love the cushions and the tote bag the best.
Those codes and the phonetic alphabet! Good luck 🙂
Norwich airport - easy for me to get too.
What a cool idea – I love travel-themed design and these look great, I could do with a new document wallet too. My favourite airport has to be Ko Samui in Thailand, when I visited it was so small there were no walls and a palm leaf roof!
I was there about ten years ago - I remember the palm roof and the 10-second walk from the terminal to the plane! Thanks for the reminder!
We liked Sanford in USA (Florida)
That travel pouch is very funky - and nice that you met your husband at Luton airport!
Not the most romantic of places to meet your future husband for the first time!
Oh, and about my favorite products ... I am loving those throw pillows and I see those on my couch!
So many airports I really like. Savannah (SAV) is just charming, Sacramento has those great baggage statues that are so cool and I am in love with the psychedelic tunnel and water fountain in DTW.
Too many airports to choose from!!
Manchester is my fave because we always leave there to go on hols and its close to our home so journeys never too long
