Airportag travel themed gifts
One of the first things I had to do when I started working in the travel industry was to learn my airport codes. You know, those three-letter IATA identifiers, LHR for London Heathrow, SFO for San Francisco – you get the idea. There’s hundreds of them ranging from Aberdeen to Zurich.
There are some really cool codes around. HIP belongs to Headingly Airport in Australia and BOO is Norway’s Bodo Airport code. There are also some dodgy ones. An internal flight option from Fresno Yosemite Airport to Butler Airport in Missouri would see FAT – BUM on your boarding pass. DIK – HED would mean a journey from Dickinson Theodore Roosevelt Airport to Herendeen Bay in Alaska. Anyhow, I digress.
Travel themed homeware
So where’s this going you might be thinking. Well, I’ve actually discovered some really cool airport code designed products from Airportag. I love the quirky travel themed gifts and homeware and thought you might too - either for yourself or as a gift for the travel lover in your life.
Airportag customised gifts
Airportag is an online shop started by ‘Captain Greg’, a designer with a love of flying, and he’s got some really cool ideas. There’s a whole heap of travel-themed products; throw pillows, coffee mugs, t-shirts, tote bags and luggage tags all emblazoned with stylish airport code designs or cool travel quotes in fab fonts and colour ways. There are even designs for imaginary airports; Kings Landing or Gotham City airport. Now you need look no further for fab gifts for travel lovers.
There's a range of customised products with your own choice of airport codes. Did you travel to New York from London on your honeymoon? Why not opt for a LHR to JFK cushion to remember your first flight as Mr and Mrs, or Mrs and Mrs or Mr and Mr or whatever. There are some cool travel quotes available too.
After poring over the Airportag website for hours (don't go there unless you've got at least an hour to spare) and changing my mind over and over, I finally chose a pouch bag. I couldn’t decide which airport code to choose so I simply went for a design with all of them.
The pouch bag is printed on both sides and made from a durable poly poplin fabric with a good quality zip. It’s really well made and the print quality is excellent. I love it and now I've seen the quality of the products for myself I'll definitely be buying more! It's perfect for keeping all my tech gear in when I travel like chargers, cables and mini tripods. You could use it for your passport and travel documents or for all your inflight bits and pieces.
Shipping
Airportag offer worldwide delivery from the USA. If you're not US based you may want to factor in extra time for your delivery to arrive.

I’ll let you into a little secret. Not many people know this, but the airport code LTN has a special place in my heart. Yep, Luton Airport is where I met Mr Jones. Little did I know at the time that I’d eventually become Mrs Jones! So I guess the Luton Airport code LTN will be on the next Airportag product I buy.

I've not been to many airports that have stood out so I will just say Manchester as that's the airport I fly out of to anywhere! 🙂
Manchester Airport, it's close xx
Wellington is stunning, nicest and friendliest capital city airport I've ever visited. The huge Tolkien figures hanging from the ceiling are awesome. Coming face-to-face with a massive Gollum after a long journey somehow puts new life into a flagging body!
I'd love to be travelling through Wellington airport - NZ is on my wishlist 🙂
Happily, returning for the fourth time end of this January. Hoping to fill in the 'blanks' from previous visits!
What a cool range of gifts. My other half actually has his favourite airport codes tatooed on his arm and people always try and guess what they are when they first meet him. My favourite code will have to be LHR - both my parents worked at Heathrow at some point and I met my other half because he flew there from MEL 😉 I love the pouch you've chosen - I think that would be my favourite too!
LHR is high on my list because when I fly from there it usually means long-haul 😉 I hope LHR is one of the tats!
I have quite a few favorites, the latest being Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Charlotte, NC. They have these lovely white wicker rocking chairs set up near full size windows, so you can read a book and watch planes take off and land while you wait 🙂
My all time favorite is Mumbai's Terminal T2 because I helped build it. I was part of the construction team.
..and my favorite product is the flight board shower curtain.
You helped built it - that's something to be proud of! Good luck 🙂
LOVE THE LUGGAGE TAG AND PHONE COVER
My favourite Airport is Birmingham as it's the firs tone I ever flew from! It's well set out, has a fantastic shop selection and a big Starbucks! Perfect for a pre-flight coffee break!
My favourite is Heathrow Airport. Because I finally got to go abroad on my own, which was so cool! - sorry mum. I love the Passports - Poster, because I find it quite interesting getting to see different country's passport logos.
reykjavik has lots of space and we have been there loads of times.
My favourite airport would be YEG. Edmonton is my hometown, and it's always nice to come back home for a visit after travels.
And anytime I'm in YEG is means I'm just coming back from some travels, or about to start a new adventure
Love all of them
Oh I love it all!! I would actually spend all my Christmas budget on myself if I looked at this site for too long so I can't possibly decide which product is best! My favourite airport is GIB (Gibraltar) as it's where we got married. Great competition Suzanne 🙂
There's a lot of favourite airports relating to weddings here! Good luck Mrs Ayla 🙂
My favourite website is home sweet home LHR. Everything you need and so easy to navigate. My favourite product on this site is the world airport codes phone case! I've just ordered myself one 🙂
I just took a look - love that phone case! Good luck 🙂
It's gotta be BKK for me! It's the airport I landed at when I began my first ever long-term solo adventure 🙂
My favourite airport is the T3 in New Delhi - it was revamped completely a few years ago and is now one of the best in the world (or so I would like to believe!).
My favourite product from Airportag are the throwpillows.
Love this concept - thanks for introducing it! I love SVO (Sheremetyevo, Moscow) because it's probably the place I've flown into the most & I'm always happy when getting back to Russia!
Dubai Airport - there`s quiet and busy areas so if you are stuck there for a while plenty of choice as to how to pass the time
For me it was London Gatwick Airport. It was the first time I travelled alone and was definitely an experience by myself. Thanks for the giveaway.
That's my local airport so probably the one I visit most! Good luck... 🙂
las vegas airport as i knew i was finally there and was getting married soon
Wow - you got married in Vegas?!
it was amazing very cheesy just like it should be in vegas
Sounds fab! 🙂
My favourite airport is the Changi Airport in Singapore - it was the first foreign airport I ever flew to and it has many amazing features such as the butterfly garden. My favourite product on the airportag website is the Live with no excuses square canvas travel quote - it is a quote I try to live by!
That's a cool quote! I've not seen Changi Airport - hope I get to fly there one day!
