In Hoi An town at full moon the town celebrates. The electric lights are switched off and softly coloured lanterns cast magical shadows in the narrow streets and a gentle glow radiates through the town.

Pamukkale means 'Cotton Castle' in Turkish and perfectly describes the white terraces, known as travertines, which tread their way down the Turkish hillside. Each pool is created from startling white limestone deposits filled with water from 17 of the natural hot water springs in the area.

The Meeting Place, St Pancras Station

The Meeting Place is a 30ft statue, by artist Paul Day, which stands under the station clock at St Pancras railway station in the International Eurostar terminal. The piece is intended to reflect the romanticism of train travel and is reminiscent of a scene from the film Brief Encounter.
