Looking for the perfect gifts for travellers? (Or maybe I should say, things I wouldn’t mind getting my mitts on myself!) I can’t believe how quickly this year has rushed by and the holiday season is almost upon us. To help you with your gift giving I’ve put together some cool travel-inspired gift ideas in a range of prices.

Read on for some cool and quirky gift ideas that the travel addict in your life will love – and who knows, there may be something here you’ll want to add to your own wish list.

Cool gifts for travellers

Airportag Travel Themed Gifts

Airportag is an online shop started by ‘Captain Greg’, a designer with a love of flying and airports and he’s created some really cool products both for the home and to wear.

There are heaps of travel-themed products on their website; throws, cushions, coffee mugs, t-shirts, tote bags and phone cases all with quirky airport code designs or travel quotes and beautifully colour coordinated with fab fonts. Great gifts for travel lovers.

Go Pro

I love my Go Pro Hero  and have used it on quite a few trips to get great footage. The Go Pro Hero Camera is mountable, wearable and waterproof and designed to withstand extreme environments.

It comes with built-in Bluetooth and WiFi and can be operated remotely. This Go Pro comes with an accessory bundle.

There’s a GoPro model to fit any traveller’s needs.

Notes from a small island by Bill Bryson

I love a good Bill Bryson travel book. ‘Notes from a Small Island’ and ‘A Walk in the Woods’ are two favourites but I haven’t read The Road to Little Dribbling yet so I’m hoping this finds its way into my stocking.

I love that the picture on the front is the Coastguard Cottages at Seven Sisters which is only half an hour from where I live – yes it’s a real place on England’s south coast.

iDiskk Photo Stick

My photographs are very precious to me so to give me peace of mind I back up everything to an external hard drive as well as to the cloud. As a travel blogger it’s great to have an external hard drive that neatly fits in the palm of my hand.

When I’m travelling the cloud isn’t always accessable so this neat little iDiskk photo stick is perfect and comes in a range of sizes. It plugs into my phone so I can save all my photos and videos safely and free up space on my phone.

iDiskk Hard Drive

For my main photo storage the iDiskk Portable Hard Drive ticks all the boxes; two terabytes to store all my photos and digital files and small enough to take on any trips without taking up too much valuable space in my bag. If you’re looking for gifts for travellers then this hard drive ticks a lot of boxes.

 Moleskine Brown Voyageur

Moleskine Voyager Notebook

This travel journal is different to your average Moleskine and is perfect for recording your travel memories and storing your itinerary.

There’s an online tool designed to format itineraries, journal entries and photos which you can print to scale so they’ll fit perfectly within the notebook’s pages. The essential travelling companion will help keep track of your thoughts and observations from your trip just like any other journal but also features detachable lists, stickers, ruled, plain and tear-off pages.

There’s even a pull out ‘I am here!’ banner perfect for social media addicts and those destination selfies. The book is cloth-covered with a neat interior back pocket to store tickets, receipts and mementos.

Sony Noise Cancelling Headset

Wireless Noise Cancelling Headset

Not only are these great for listening to your favourite sounds but they also drown out the irritating noises on a flight; droning engines, crying babies and a busy galley. Popping on a headset can also deter over-chatty neighbours (mean aren’t I!) and means you can also skip the dodgy airline earphones.

They’re also the way to go to ensure you catch some in-flight sleep. For all those reasons it has to be the wireless noise canceling headset.

I hope you’ve found my gifts for traveller’s list useful. If you need more inspiration then check out some more gift ideas for the travel lover in your life. What will you be buying your favourite travel lover? Do share in the comments below – I might have to add it to my list!
