Denver, the capital of Colorado, is generally the arrival point for visitors exploring the Rocky Mountain National Park or heading off on a ski trip. But before travellers heed the call of the mountains they’d be well advised to take a detour and add a two-day Denver itinerary to their trip.
That’s exactly what I did on our incredible 10 day Colorado road trip. In Denver I discovered a laid-back city packed with urban adventure, an outdoorsy vibe and the stunning backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.
