I couldn’t decide which Havana photograph to feature on The Friday Photo this week – so you’ve got five!  I hope the colour and energy of Havana brightens your Five a Day Friday!

I like the contrast of the vibrant red sheen and gleaming chrome of the car against the peeling pastel paint and flaking masonry of the buildings behind.  I hope this photo conveys a sense of the vibrancy of the city

I had to include o picture of El Capitolio Nacionale.  Being excited about being in a new city I got up really early and took a look out of my hotel window – and wow what a view!  The building is based on the US Capitol Building in Washington DC – the Cuban version is slighter taller – cocking a snook at the US?

Cuba is famous for its cigars – Partagas Cigar Factory in the centre of Havana is one of the factories where you can see them being made.  I like the colours and lines in the photo and the fifties feel that the truck gives.

Colour and characters – Cuba is brimming with both.  This lady had another six cigars lined up on her table to last her through the day.
