In case you hadn’t noticed I’m an outdoorsy type. I love going for long walks by the sea or in the Sussex countryside. I’m also into my coffee so I was intrigued when I heard about the Wacaco Minipresso Portable Espresso Machine. the Wacaco is a portable coffee maker so you can enjoy fresh Espresso on the go wherever you happen to be? Sounds just like my cup of, err, coffee.

Imagine, a coffee fix on the beach, at the top of a mountain or in the middle of nowhere. Anywhere in fact. Read on for the chance to win a Wacaco travel coffee maker for yourself in partnership with Steamer Trading.

Wacaco Minipresso Espresso Maker

The World’s Most Compact Espresso Maker

This neat little device is compact and light enough at just 350g to pop into your bag or backpack. Perfect for camping if you need proper coffee to get you going in the morning or if there’s no facilities in your hotel room. Great for long dog walks, car journeys or for your commute to work. You could even take it with you on a flight if you crave coffee-shop quality in the clouds.

Convenient and Portable

The Wacaco Minipresso Portable Espresso machineWacaco Minipresso Portable Espresso machine is entirely manual with no need for electricity or batteries so you can use it absolutely anywhere. It’s small enough to hold in one hand and has a cool designer look and a quality feel to it.

All you need is a Nespresso pod and boiling water and within a minute or two you’ll be breathing in the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sipping a velvety Espresso with a good crema. Could your day get any better?

How the Wacaco Minipresso Portable Espresso Machine works

The Espresso maker is easy to use. Unscrew the cup from the top and set aside. Next unscrew the pod holder and pop in your preferred Nespresso pod and screw back on. Remove the water-holder at the bottom, fill to the indicated level with boiling water and screw back on. (I found the bottom part is just the right size to store two pods when not in use).

The pump sits flush with the body so press and twist to unlock, turn the device upside down and start pumping. (I found it easier to use the palm of my hand for this rather than my thumb). After a few pumps the water pressurises to 8 bar, the coffee start to flow and you have a 70ml cup of quality Espresso in your hand. It’s as easy as that.

How to clean

Cleaning is simple. Remove the used pod, fill the bottom container with more hot water, re-assemble everything and pump the water through. Dry with kitchen towel and your magic mini coffee-maker will be perfectly clean and ready to use on your next adventure.

Cute pup, Suze! I did a lovely riverside walk at Bolton Abbey today. The coffee would have been most welcome, but I suspect we’d have fought over it. ? ?

A CUTE LITTLE POD .... !!! Congratulations to the happy winner. Not a fan of Nespresso, even if I'm madly in love with Mr Clooney. *smile
